Hyde Syte Tactics is a Veteran & Law Enforcement owned and operated training facility. We offer small class sizes for all levels of expertise. Our main focus is safety and instruction.
Trevor has an extensive background growing up and living in rural, urban and suburban lifestyles. Serving his country and the community he began a rigorous Military career with the United States Airborne Rangers and later selected as a Green Beret Special Forces Weapons Sergeant. Trevor recently retired as a Special Forces Operations team sergeant after almost 30 with the U.S. Army. Trevor has deployed multiple time throughout the world and has been awarded two Bronze Stars, the Combat Infantry Badge, and multiple campaign medals. Trevor is also currently serving his 24th year with a large municipal law enforcement agency and his 16th year with their full time SWAT team. He currently holds the rank of Sergeant and has been decorated with multiple Life Saving awards, Medal of Valor for Rescue award, two Medal of Valor for Combat awards, Superior Service Achievement Award and the American Red Cross Brave Hearts Award. Trevor has a Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Criminal Justice.

Neil has a very extensive background and education. His experience and team commitment has developed him into a “jack of all trades”. Neil recently retired after 29 years military service in the Army Guard and Reserves. He was well established in the United States Army Rangers and was later selected into the Special Forces. Neil is an expert in weapons, explosives, construction, and medicine and has multiple CONUS and OCONUS deployments. He has developed cross-training from Military experience and over 20 years on a municipal fire department. Here too, Neil has moved up through the ranks as a Paramedic Lieutenant and instructs Fire, EMS, Basic Recruit and Paramedic Preceptor.
Neil is well versed in and instructs TCCC and TEMS. He has taught civilian, Law Enforcement, First responders and Military Personnel.
Ben brings much to this team and comes from a very experienced background and education. His initial exposure to tactical operations and specialized rescue began in 1999, while serving in the United States Navy as a Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (VBSS) Team Leader deployed in the Persian Gulf. He has since spent 16 years in EMS as a Firefighter/Paramedic, eventually furthering his education as a Physician Assistant, and currently works in Emergency Medicine in Kenosha. In 2011 he became the first PA in WI recognized with specialty board-certification in Emergency Medicine.
Ben is currently the Assistant Medical Director for Kenosha County EMS, a Tactical Paramedic with the Kenosha Sheriff’s Department TEMS team, and a regional EMS educator. He is a course coordinator and authorized instructor of all levels of Tactical Medicine courses through the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, including military Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), civilian Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC), and specialized Law Enforcement First Response Tactical Care (LEFR-TC).
Ben’s extensive background in providing a wide variety of medical services ranging from emergency basic and advanced life support to orthopedic injury evaluation and rehabilitation, to primary care medicine, have helped shape his unique approach to providing tactical care.
Joe brings a global view to emergency operations with over 17 years of training and field experience in both law enforcement and Fire/EMS. He started his career with a paid-on call fire/ems position while completing his law enforcement degree. With several years working for a large municipal fire department, ER tech, and critical care private ambulance service, he eventually merged his career to the thin blue line. During his time with the fire department, he served as a Driver/Operator, rescue diver, Haz-Mat Technician, Fire / EMS Instructor, as well as a NREMT TECC Instructor. Joe has always been passionate about extending his training and experience through instructing ACLS, PHTLS, PALS, and CPR to physicians and medical professionals throughout the state.
Joe graduated from the Milwaukee Area Technical College police academy in 2003. During his law enforcement career, Joe has spent most of his time on 2nd and 3rd shift patrol, with extensive work in drug interdiction & gang intelligence. Joe is currently a K9 Handler and serves with a local county swat team where he was a founding member of the TEMS program. In his spare time, he can be found running calls with a local fire/ems agency as a volunteer member.
